The first annual Slash the Stigma Devon Thompson Memorial Tournament was held at the Valley Event Center this past weekend, March 11 and 12. A total of eight local teams participated in the three-on-three tournament with a six man team maximum. Members of Valley County 4-H came together on Dec. 29 to make tie quilts for Valley County Law Enforcement. Under the direction of Bobbie Britzman, members cut and tied around the edges of fleece to create four blankets to be given to the Valley County Sheriff's department with the hope they can be handed out to children and adults in times of need. The Governor’s Office of Community Service (ServeMontana), Reach Higher Montana, and Montana Campus Compact (MTCC) are pleased announce 100 Montana high school seniors have been awarded Youth Serve Montana Scholarships.
