On your mark, Get set, GO!! The Fort Peck Senior Citizens are sponsoring the seventh annual fun walk/run across the face of Fort Peck Dam on Saturday, March 18. It is called “SLAM THE DAM 7” (Run with the Wind). This is a non-competitive walk/run—no times will be kept. On the morning of March 18, the committee members will decide which direction the walk/run will go—depending on which way the wind is blowing that day. Gordon F. Pippin was born in Saco, Mont., on Oct. 4 1934, to Fred and Wilma Pippin. He passed away peacefully at his home in Springfield, Ore., on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023. Cremation has taken place. Jake Etchart- grew up spending summers at Fort Peck Lake, with much of his time spent around the Fort Peck Theatre where his family was actively involved as volunteers.
