Glasgow's Cathryn Sugg is teaching a paint-and-take style workshop at Wheatgrass Arts & Gallery March 6 from 2-4 p.m. The workshop, a variation on classes offered by Sugg for several years running in the area, is open to kids ages 1-16 accompanied by an adult, with youth/adult pairs working collaboratively. As has been widely reported, Wolf Point’s Maci Lilley was found late Sunday morning by Roosevelt County Undersheriff Corey Reum. The 4-year old girl was kidnapped from a playground near her home on Friday night, prompting a statewide Amber Alert and coordinated search efforts involving local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies. Nick Murnion, Valley County attorney, has been appointed by Governor Steve Bullock to serve the 16th Judicial District. Prior to serving Valley County, he was the county attorney in Garfield County and a private practice attorney. The 16th District is located in Forsyth, Mont., and serves Carter, Custer, Fallon, Garfield, Powder River, Rosebud, and Treasure Counties. Murnion will be succeeding George Huss. Peewee hockey players from all over the state descended on Glasgow this past weekend to fight for the ultimate reward after months of hard work and competition. The Glasgow Ice Dawg Bantams (13-14 year olds) finished their regular season with victories against Great Falls and Havre. On Feb. 20 and 21, Glasgow hosted Great Falls for two games at the Valley Event Center. In the first game, the Ice Dawgs mounted a big offensive strike and defeated Great Falls 11-1.
