    The Children’s Museum of Northeast Montana and the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture were recipients of the fiscal year 2023 Eastern Montana Initiative Tourism Grant Award. The awards are effective Jan. 25, 2023, and both organizations were notified last week via a letter signed by Montana Governor Greg Gianforte.     The UNITE's Arrive Alive Tour visited northeastern Montana high schools last week, with Glasgow High School being the first stop on Feb. 20, followed by Poplar High School, Plentywood High School, Medicine Lake School and Scobey High School.     The Glasgow City Council met for their regular council meeting on Feb. 21 in the Council Chambers. Regular business was voted on including payment of claims in the amount of $131,839.68; payment of Valley Court Apartment claims in the amount of $1,709.37 and approval of the Feb. 6 regular council meeting minutes.     The Glasgow High School Educational Trust recently awarded financial aid for the Spring 2023 semester to 14 GHS graduates attending trade school or college. These awards are in addition to the those given last fall to 12 students, 11 of whom received aid for both semesters of the 2022-2023 academic year.     Deadlines have been set for this year’s grants and scholarship applications from the Valley County Community Foundation. The first is March 31 for grants, April 15 for the Feda Scholarship, June 15 for the Fuhrman Scholarship, and Sept. 30 for the Markle Scholarship.     Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks Hunter Education course dates have been set for Glasgow. An in-person classroom course will run March 13-17, ahead of the first big game application deadline of April 1. All hunter education classes are free of charge.
