The Glasgow Speech and Drama team is hitting the 2021-22 season with a new head coach. Kristina McGee stepped into the slot after two years as an assistant coach under previous head coach Jodie Griffin. The third-year Glasgow teacher also brings her experience as a competitor to bear. The Scotties' volleyball season came to an end in Bozeman at the State Tournament this past weekend, after Glasgow suffered two losses early in play. Glasgow fell to Florence-Carlton in round one, losing the match in four sets Thursday. The loss pitted Glasgow against hi-line rival Malta on Friday morning. Zandora Longtree was named to the first 1st team All-Conference. Over the course of the season she had six blocks, 251 digs, 44 kills, 94 aces, 127 assists and an 82 serving percentage. It took months of hard work by volunteers to paint the mural along the Glasgow downtown underpass, and only minutes for a vandal to leave their grubby marks in the form of graffiti. Patrolman Scott Campbell and Senior Patrolman Josh Nolan were contacted by The artist, Cat McIntyre, about the incident. As I'm writing this it is snowing up north. In fact, it is snowing enough to turn my yard white. The temperature when I arose at 6:30 was a balmy 36, but the deck was wet and slick with frost. By 9 a.m. it was down to 30, but 'warmed' back up to 31 in a half hour. I'm so glad I'd cleared the front deck of furniture and other obstacles that would make snow removal more difficult.
