    So close. So close that it could be frustrating. The Glasgow girls cross country team dominated the Frazer meet on Thursday, Sept. 19, finishing one point short of a perfect score.     The Glasgow Scotties were simply on fire Friday night when they easily defeated Shelby, 42-9, for their homecoming game. The Scotties scored six touchdowns for a total of 331 yards in offense.     The Glasgow Scotties earned a close win over Glendive in four games, 23-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-23, at home on Thursday, Sept. 19. The Scotties faced a tough and skilled team and had to fight throughout the entire game to get the victory. Glendive was impressive defensively and effective offensively.     It was a winning weekend for the Glasgow High School volleyball team. The Scotties earned two victories in a row, first over Wolf Point on Friday, Sept. 13, and then over Poplar on Saturday, Sept. 14.     It was another great weekend for the Scotties cross country teams at the Malta Invitational on Sept. 14. The boys took second place while the girls dominated their race to finish in first. With 81 points, the boys’ team finished behind Culbertson/Bainville (73) and in front of Havre (96). Bridger Sanders was the fastest boy for the Scotties.     The Glacier Nationals, the junior hockey team from Whitefish, will be holding a weekend-long youth camp in Glasgow on Nov. 1 and 2. The training camp will be highlighted by a junior A game against Gillette.     The Scotties girls and boys cross country teams finished in third and 14th place, respectively, at the Billings Invitational on Friday, Sept. 6. The girls earned an impressive third place with 112 points behind two AA teams, Billings West (70) and Billings Senior (74).     Both Glasgow cross country teams came back home from Poplar with first place after competing in the first meet of the season on Saturday, August 31. As expected, the girls dominated the meet, finishing with 22 points and placing eight runners out of 11 in the top 15.     Glasgow High School's annual Red & White football scrimmage ended up in a 7-7 tie on Friday, Aug. 30. Fans gathered in the stands at Scottie Field to have a look at this season’s team and were not disappointed.     The Glasgow volleyball team earned a seventh place at the Choteau invitational on Friday and Saturday, August 30-31. The Scotties missed the playoffs by one spot after playing six matches on Friday and seven on Saturday.     The Glasgow Junior High cross country team participated in the Poplar meet on Saturday, August 31. The boys finished first with 42 points, followed by Poplar (55), and Wolf Point (63). The girls only had three runners, and could not do anything against the other teams.
