Beginning Band Lessons Offered

There will be a beginning band display in the middle school music room on Wednesday, Aug. 15, from 4 to 7 p.m., for any students interested in doing sixth grade beginning band in the fall. There will be a representative from Eckroth Music present to answer questions, as well as to sell new and used instruments.

Beginning band lessons will be offered on Friday, Aug. 17, and again on Monday through Thursday, Aug. 20 to 23, for students who want to get a start on learning to play their instruments. The lessons will take place in the middle school music room. The schedule will be as follows: flutes: 9-10 a.m.; clarinets: 10-11 a.m.; saxophones: 11 a.m. to noon; trumpets and french horns: 1-2 p.m.; trombones and tubas: 2-3 p.m.; and percussion: 3-4 p.m.
