Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Barbara Ann Olson

Barbara "Bobbi" Ann Olson, 68, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, in Billings, Mont.

She was born Nov. 28, 1949, in Albert Lea, Minn., to Clifford and Jessie (Helland) Olson. She had two brothers, Charles (Chuck), Donald (Donnie), and a sister, Darlene (Toots).

Many knew her as Bobbi, but friends called her Barbara Ann, much to her dismay. She always had a smile on her face and was willing to help anyone who needed her. Her favorite thing to do was go on a drive in the hills and take pictures. She was a wonderful photographer and always looked to capture the unusual.

She had a passion for quilting. She created beautiful quilts but always seemed to give them away to someone who admired them. She would also give bright quilts to the police department to give to any child that was in an accident to comfort and cheer them up. Many quilts were made for the babies born into our family.

She was an adventurous person and always knew when God would tell her it was time to move on. She even moved to Alaska and lived there for 12 years. She wasn't afraid to travel there by herself.

In 2006, she moved to Bridger, Mont. She loved Bridger and the people there. She volunteered at the library, which was such a joy to her. She was always taking in stray cats or feeding them. Her joy was her cat, Satchel, who went with her on her travels.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

She is survived by one sister, Darlene (Toots), who is married to Walt Murch of Nashua; and many nieces and nephews.

She truly will be missed by all who knew her but now she is living with Jesus, her Savior, who she loved so very much.
