Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

Grace McNabb

Grace Eileen (Cady) Watson McNabb was born May 13, 1938, up Slaughter House Creek north of Forsyth to Herb and Agnes Cady. She attended school in Ashland, Mont., at the St Labre Mission.

She married Max Watson Oct. 5, 1957, in Forsyth, Mont. They had six children, Ginger, Max Jr, Terri, Tracey, Randy and Robin. Max passed away in October 1973. She then moved to Glasgow with Randy and Robin in 1980, and drove school bus for the Glasgow school district until a minor stroke in 1998 ended her driving career.

She met Pete McNabb in 1985, and they married the summer of 1986. Pete passed away December, 1996.

She loved to play pinochle and go to jam sessions. She delighted in sending birthday cards to her family and friends, especially the grandkids where she would send them $2 bills in their cards. That was a big deal to them.

In her retirement, she moved to Forsyth and reunited with an old school friend, Gordon Quenzer, with whom she had a special friendship until her death on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herb and Agnes Cady; her first husband, Max Watson Sr .; her second husband, Pete McNabb; and one sister, Joyce Hansen.

She is survived by one sister, Barbara Durkey, from Florida; her six children; Ginger Guderjahn, and her husband, Gary, of Kalispell, Max Watson Jr., and his wife, Nancy, of Huntley, Terri Coldwell and her husband, John, of Jordan, Tracey Watson of Fairview, Randy Watson and his wife, Susan, of Hathaway, Mont. and Robin Watson and his wife, Carla, of Fairview; 18 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren.
