Dean R. Hanvold Sr., 85, of Darby, Mont., passed away Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2016, at the Marcus Daly Hospice Center due to complications of surgery.
No formal services will be held.
He was born Aug. 4, 1931, in Opheim, Mont., to the late Doris and Henry Hanvold. He married Joan Arlene Huber in 1957, she passed away in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Survivors include two children, Cyndra Hanvold and Dean Hanvold Jr. and his wife, Addi, all of Miles City; one sister, Patsy Stien, of Opheim; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
