Lady Mavs Sweep Scottie JV, Fall to M-Ettes

North Country vs. Glasgow JV

The North Country Lady Mavericks defeated Glasgow's JV squad in three games, 25-21, 25-21, 25-21, held in Hinsdale Sept. 27.

Jada Sudbrack led her team in kills with eight, followed by Mickayla Johnson with seven. Johnson also finished the game with a team high of two blocks. Bailey Funk recorded four aces during the games and had 17 assists.

North Country vs. Malta

After winning their first game 25-22 against the M-Ettes in Whitewater on Sept. 30, the Lady Mavs dropped the next three to the girls in blue (15-25, 18-25, 21-25).

Mickayla Johnson led the team in kills (11) and blocks (1). Payton Chopper served up the most aces (3), Kayleigh Cummings recorded six digs, and Casity Boucher finished with 14 assists. Team totals: Kills, 22; blocks, 1; aces, 7; digs, 21; assists, 17.

The Lady Mavericks will be in Poplar Thursday, Oct. 6, will face Brockton in Saco on Friday, Oct. 7, and travel to Scobey on Saturday, Oct. 8.
