Reds 2, Richland County Patriots 3

The Glasgow Reds baseball team lost a friendly pickup game in Sidney on May 20.

The Reds got on board first with one run at the top of the second inning. Sidney answered back with one in the fourth and two in the fifth inning. Reds scored again in the sixth, but did not mount enough offense to turn the tide.

Reds Ryan Padden pitched four innings and struck out two, while Jake Kolstad pitched two innings, striking out one. They walked four and yielded only two hits. However, with one error made by the Reds, the Patriots found just enough to outscore the Reds.

Sidney's Brett Norby pitched a complete game, giving up four hits, one walk and striking out nine. Parker Kulczyk accounted for half of the Reds' hits and RBIs.

With the first win in Havre on May 10, the Reds are now 1-1 in the young season. They will travel to Billings to take on the Cardinals on Saturday, May 30 at 3 and 5 p.m, and the Billings Blue Jays on Sunday, May 31 at 12 noon and 2 p.m. These will be conference games.

The Reds' first home game is schedule for Wednesday, June 3 at 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. for a conference doubleheader with the Miles City Mavericks.
