Thelma Huso

Thelma (Gidley) Huso, 91, passed away on Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015, at Valley View Home in Glasgow, Mont.

She was born April 15, 1923, to James and Ella Gidley in Richland County, Mont. In the late 1930s, the family moved to Hood River, Ore., later returning to Montana. She worked for several years for her cousin at Gidley's Conoco Café and Motel in Wolf Point.

On June 28, 1941, she married Kenneth Huso and they farmed and ranched northwest of Wolf Point. They had two daughters, Darlene and Sharon.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; two sisters, Faye Heser and Marie Shefelbine; one brother, John Gidley; a son-in-law, Calvin Davis; and one grandson, James Davis.

Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Davis and Sharon Toavs and her husband, Ferris; four grandsons; nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Alice Olson of Oregon, and one brother, James Gidley of Judith Gap, Mont.

A prayer service was held on Monday, Feb. 23, at 4 p.m. at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 24, at 11 a.m. at the Clayton Stevenson Memorial Chapel in Wolf Point, followed by interment at Greenwood Cemetery in Wolf Point.
