Meier: Drug Bust Impact Could Be Significant

The Tri-Agency Drug Force and the Valley County Sheriff's Office reported that they made a bust after an intense investigation came to a close on Monday, Nov. 10.

After a search warrant was conducted at 587 BIA Route 1, the task force located Shon Wilcox, who had approximately 4.5 pounds of pot, methamphetamine, prescription pills and numerous paraphernalia items that were located in a camper, utility trailer and a pickup. The estimated street value of drugs was in excess of $20,000.

Wilcox, 45, was charged with four felony criminal possession with intent to distribute – marijuana, methamphetamine, hydrocodone and oxycodone. He was also charged with possession of property subject to criminal forfeiture, a felony charge, possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor, and driving while driver's license is suspended or revoked, a misdemeanor.

He appeared in court on Wednesday, Nov 12, for his initial appearance where he was given an additional bond of $10,000 for a total of a $20,000 bond.

Meier added in his release that Wilcox was the source of major marijuana distribution in the area and that the drug task force investigation and arrest will have a significant impact in drug distribution in Valley County and on the Fort Peck Indian Reservation.
