Serving Proudly As The Voice Of Valley County Since 1913

John Neubauer

John Carl Neubauer, 51, was born May 17, 1963, at Minot, N.D., 20 minutes after his twin brother, Jimmy, to Dave and Carol Neubauer, weighing 3 pounds, 10 ounces at birth. He died of pneumonia Oct. 7, 2014, in Glasgow at the Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital.

He was baptized into the Lutheran faith by Pastor John Chambers in Minot.

He spent his earliest years with his parents and siblings, Kelly, Paul and Jimmy, in Minot, Minneapolis and Billings. Then he began his life with other children with Down Syndrome and similar abilities, living in Boulder, Glendive, and Glasgow, Mont.

He’s been cared for so lovingly by his staff at Warren Group Home and through Milk Rive Inc.

Although John was nonverbal, he showed his love and joy with many smiles, hugs and his own style of laughter, his love of music and his ownership of his own recliner and personal objects.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Dave; cousin Debra Clouse; and grandparents Carl and Olga Nelson and Paul and Alma Neubauer.

He is survived by and remembered with much love by his mom and stepfather, Carol and Albert Samuelson, of Bismarck; siblings, Kelly Renee’, Paul David and Keri, James Doyle and Kim Laske, Kristi and Vern Davich; nieces and nephews Anna and Nate Folk, Zachary, Jordan, Kathryn, Tanner and Christopher Neubauer and Kaytlin and Savanna Davich; aunties and uncles Eunice Sanders, David and Beverly Nelson, Jim and Mary Nelson, Bernice Arsenault, Addy and Duane Vig, Ellie Neubauer and Julie and Kim Neubauer; many loving cousins; and his wonderful Glasgow family.

Funeral services were held Oct. 10 at 3 p.m. at the Bell Chapel in Glasgow, followed by interment in Bismarck, N.D.

The family prefers memorials to Milk River Inc. and/or Warren Group Home in Glasgow. Blessed be his memory.
