Gerald Francis Myers

Gerald Francis Myers, 62, passed away Aug. 16, 2014, at Benefis East Hospital in Great Falls, Mont.

He was born Feb. 24, 1952, in Paris, France, the son of Gerald F. Sr. and Alpha Mae Myers. As a child with eight siblings, he lived in Texas, Minnesota, California, Alaska, Utah, Australia and Montana. He graduated from high school in Provo, Utah. He was an Eagle Scout and went on a Mission to Northern Sates for Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

He never married, but was an active uncle to all his 11 nephews and 19 nieces, who he loved dearly.

He loved cooking and had many interests. He enjoyed history and loved to share that knowledge. He worked for the Park Service in Florida and Yellowstone. He loved doing wire crafts and making trees.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Gerald F. Sr and Alpha (Johnson) Myers; and a niece, Sheree Chalmers Smith.

Survivors include one sister, Jennifer Chalmers and her husband, Barry, of St. Marie; seven brothers; Jim Myers and Jeff Myers of Highland, Vermont, John Myers and his wife, Gail, of New South Wales, Australia, Joseph and his wife, Felicita, of Ofalleu, Ill., Joshua Myers and his wife, Jerlyne, of Worland, Wyo., Jason Myers of Glasgow, and Jed Myers and his wife, Beverly, of Lewistown, Mont.

Funeral services were Aug. 20, along with interment at the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow was in charge of arrangements.
