Candy Cane Park Getting A Little Sweeter

It's been a sweet spot for several kids, with an elephant slide as a favorite piece of equipment. Now Glasgow's Candy Cane Park is getting a whole new look that will be sweet when it's completed.

The park that had gravel and not much for shade will be sporting grass and trees by late summer.

The city has set aside and budgeted for the park over the last two years, and last week the project got started. The park will get grass, a sprinkler system, some new playground equipment, trees and a watering system to keep the trees green.

Kids and adults can breathe a sigh of relief as the favorit...
