Kerry Ann Ross

Kerry Ann (Minnerath) Ross, 63, passed away of natural causes Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at Garden Grove Medical Center in Garden Grove, Calif. She suffered from severe rheumatoid arthritis, asthma and COPD.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial services and interment will take place in the Saco Cemetery this July. A date will be announced near that time.

She was born to Raymond G. and Ida (Fjeldheim) Minnerath on Nov. 21, 1950, in Glasgow, Mont. She attended school in Saco and Glasgow, graduating from Saco High in 1968.

She married James Thomas Ross July 4, 1981, and they had two daughters, Jessica Ann Ross in 1985, and Lindsay Marie Ross in 1986. Kerry and Tom later divorced but were supportive of each other and committed to their girls.

After high school, she worked a short time at FMDH and then ventured off to Minneapolis, Minn., where she went to work for Walman Optical. She stayed in the optical field for 26 years. Her friend and coworker there, Linda Moran Ritten, said, “Kerry was so smart and such a hard worker she kept getting promotions.”

In the mid 1970s, she moved to California. She had a few different jobs. She was employed nine years at Kirkwood and Associates as an accounts payable specialist at the time of her death.

She loved collecting tea cups, old decorative plates, antiques, and going to estate auction and garage sales. She was incredibly generous and always on the lookout for something special to give everyone in her life. She looked for the best in everyone.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Ida; her sister, Betty J. (Minnerath) Fielder; a nephew, Mike Minnerath; and great-nephew Ethan Munden.

Survivors include two loving daughters, Jessica A. Ross of San Francisco, Calif., and Lindsay M. Ross of Milwaukee; three brothers, Ken and Alice Minnerath of Laurel, and Don and Holly Minnerath and Bob and Patty Minnerath, all of Saco; two sisters, Shari Minnerath of Billings and Gay (Minnerath) Anderson of Glasgow; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and -nephews.
