Glasgow Cheer Has Strong Showing At Cheerfest

Second Place Finish In Class B Division Has Scotties Celebrating

Members of the Glasgow High School cheer squad pose for a picture while waiting to perform at Cheerfest 2014 at Fergus High School in Lewiston this past weekend. Led by Sereta Heser and Jorey Garsjo, the Scotties left Lewiston with a second place finish in the Class B division for high school cheer.

Glasgow High School cheerleaders competed in Cheerfest 2014 this past Saturday in Lewiston.

The competition included brackets for jazz/tap dancers, mascots, cheerleaders, stunt groups and individual jumps.

Coached by Sereta Heser and Jorey Garsjo, the Scotties took second place in the Class B division for high school cheer.

Tayte Prewett, Lauren Runningen, & Abigail Helland made it to the semifinals in the Jump-Off Competition.

Montana State and the University of Montana had cheerleaders in attendance to assist and give out information for any seniors interested in becoming part of the university dance and cheer squads.

Congratulations go out to Josie Braaten, Fallon Larsen, Maddie Hansen, Abigail Helland, Alexa Shipp, Tayte Prewett, Lauren Runningen, Breanna Barstad, Des'Rea Dible, McKenna Gagne for a job well done.
