Mary Emma (Falcon) Jackman, 100, of Glasgow, formerly of Trenton, N.D., died in her sleep Friday morning, Jan. 3, 2014, in the Valley View Nursing Home in Glasgow.

A vigil with a rosary will be 7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, at Everson Memorial Chapel in Williston.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Jan. 9, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Williston, by Father Joseph Evinger. Interment will follow in Trenton Cemetery.

She was born in Trenton on Feb. 10, 1913, the oldest of 12 children born to Ralph and Virginia (Bonneau) Falcon. She lived in her home in Trenton until after she was 100 years old. She had been living with her son and daughter-in-law in Glasgow since March.

In November of 1930 she was united in marriage to Albert (Doc) Martin. They had two boys, Eugene and Ralph. Doc died in August of 1957. In May of 1959 she married Victor (Bud) Jackman, who died in 1983.

She worked at the City and El Rancho Laundries in Williston until she retired. She worked as a Green Thumb Lady at the Trenton School until she was in her 80s. She enjoyed seeing the kids every day at the school. She began quilting and made quilts for her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She and Bud raised chickens, cattle and pigs. She had a large garden and always fed and watched birds out her kitchen window.

Her life centered on her sons, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She loved to play cards with her family. She enjoyed the CHRs in Trenton and all they did for her. She was a staunch Catholic and was a life-long member of St. John the Baptist Church in Trenton.

She was preceded in death by both husbands; a stillborn son; her son, Ralph; daughter-in-law, Frances; seven brothers and sisters; and one great-great granddaughter, Victoria.

Survivors include son, Eugene (Al) Martin and his wife, Alpha, Glasgow; seven grandchildren, Twila Martin, of Glasgow, Tracy Arnold and her husband, Ralph, Terri Petershick and her husband, Tony, Teddi Shorten and her husband, Brent, Randy Martin and his wife, Lisa, all of Billings, Tamara Teitelbaum, of Santa Barbara, Calif., and Tina Daggett and her husband, Mike, of Glasgow; 20 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildren and four great-great-great grandchildren.

She was greatly loved by her family and will be missed by all.
