Bainville Trip Tough On Lady Porcupines, But Coach Sees Improvement

The Nashua Lady Porcupines traveled to Bainville on Saturday to play in a triangular against Richey/Lambert and Bainville.

Their first opponent was the Richey/Lambert Fusion. The first game started out slow. The Lady Porcupines couldn’t bring their game together. They lost the first and second games, 13-25 and 15-25. For volleyball games, in order to win a match you need to win three out of five games.

The Lady Porcupines had to fight in order to keep playing the Fusion – and they did. Nashua started off the third game slowly, but they rallied together and only lost by four points.

Coach Nagy had this to say about the weekend matches: "While we had two tough games this weekend, I can see improvements happening. Our net play has become more aggressive. In our fist game of the season we had two kills and had at least 10 in each of our games this weekend, so you can see we are getting better.

"We are going to continue to improve as the season goes on and now this week we are going to work hard in order to be ready to take on Scobey this Friday."
