Warren Buffett announced several weeks ago that he was spending $2.1 billion to upgrade the infrastructure of his BNSF Railway. That’s commendable, and I appreciate the work he is doing, even here in Montana.
I wonder if it would be asking too much of him to spend a few thousand, which he surely would not miss, to upgrade his Glasgow depot facility. It looks really ratty, and is at least five years beyond the point where it should have been repainted. With just a minimal expenditure it could be made into an attractive asset to our community, rather than the eyesore it’s been all these years.
Perhaps the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce & Agriculture or Two Rivers Economic Development could circulate a petition locally, which we could present to him as a request for action.
