Archery Season Opens On Sept. 7

Montana's archery-only hunting season for deer, elk, antelope, wolf, mountain lion and black bear begins Sept. 7. The bighorn sheep archery season begins Sept. 5.

A $10 bow and arrow license, plus the proper hunting license, is required during the deer, elk, antelope, black bear, wolf, mountain lion and bighorn sheep archery only season or to hunt in areas limited to only archery equipment.

Depending on the species and hunting district, some licenses were available only by special drawing.
