You Can Go Home Again

This is a little on the personal side as I just returned from a trip outside this area where I spent some early years.

Touring the town reminded me of just how many churches held Sunday school and services in an old home, the off again/on again sport of girls basketball (or any girls sport) and a lot of memories of school days. Not only did we start the day with the Pledge of Allegiance, but a Bible verse as well.

I remembered the years of harvesting corn and storing it in “corn cribs,” bringing in the milk cows every night, putting together the milking machines, and the milk truck coming maybe once a week to pick up the milk. I am surprised that I am lucky enough to be so healthy after drinking milk handled that way for so many years.

If you aren’t fortunate enough to still be living near a childhood home, it might be worth the trip in memories to return and … REMEMBER WHEN.
