Schultz Set As Memorial Day Speaker

Glasgow’s annual Memorial Day program will be held on Monday, May 27, at 10 a.m. in the Civic Center. The guest speaker will be Connie Schultz, R.N., who retired from the Army Nurse Corps as a lieutenant colonel.

Schultz lost a brother and a brother-in-law in Vietnam. She was director of nursing at Frances Mahon Deaconess Hospital and is a nurse surveyor at The Joint Commission.

The Glasgow High School Band and the EQ Singers will provide music for the program.

The ceremony is sponsored by American Legion Post #41, the American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Post #3107 and the VFW Auxiliary.

Afterward, everyone is invited to a potluck dinner at noon at the VFW Club. The hosts are the auxiliaries.

Veterans are welcome to help put flags on veterans’ graves at Highland Cemetery on Sunday, May 26, starting at 1 p.m., and to help remove the flags on Monday at 5 p.m.
