On March 12, Glasgow School Superintendent Wade Sundby accepted the superintendent position at Cut Bank School. According to KLTZ/Mix-93, Sundby interviewed for the position on March 4 and was one of two candidates interviewed by the Cut Bank School Board. Sundby will start this new position on July 1. On National Teachers’ Appreciation Day, May 8, Valley County votes were counted to determine if residents decided to pass requested levies for the Glasgow, Nashua and Frazer schools. Votes were also tallied to determine who would serve on the open trustee seats for the Glasgow, Frazer, Hinsdale and Opheim schools. Three days ago, the National Weather Service in Glasgow began warning northeast Montana residents: expect a winter storm that will bring heavy and blowing snow. In the days following, the warning was updated and enhanced multiple times, but the NWS never wavered when predicting the severity of the event. A crash involving a Glasgow Public Schools bus and a pickup was reported west of Glasgow on Hwy 2 on Sept. 19. Both drivers involved were killed. The driver of the truck was Julie Steiger (31) of Troy, Mont., and the school bus driver was Harold James (Jim) Belcher, a 73-year-old Fort Peck resident.
