    The trophy for the 2021 Montana Governor's Cup Walleye Tournament stayed local this year – about as local as it could get. Fort Peck's Jason Eggebrecht and Glendive's Ross Lien combined forces again this year to win the tournament for the second year in a row. "I was a bit disappointed in how we finished on Saturday," head coach Tim Phillips said.     Vera N. (Willer) Gordon, 98, passed away on Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, in Fairfield, Calif., with family by her side. She was born to Ruby and John Willer in Glasgow, Mont.     Despite boat malfunctions, lost tackle, inclement weather, etc. there will always be a winner of the Governor's Cup Walleye Tournament. This year, the tourney was held July 13 and 14, and the big prize went to Jason Eggebrecht of Fort Peck and his fishing partner out of Billings, Drew Alpers.     The annual Top Ten track meet was held at the Glasgow High School the evening of May 1. Records were broken, and the list of state qualifiers grew. Although not as impressive as his recent vault of 16' 9" in Glendive, Garrison Hughes of Sidney still demolished his record 15' 2" vault from the Top Ten meet last year with a new height of 16' 5".     The Nashua lady tracksters earned an impressive second-place trophy for their efforts at the District 3-C Track Meet held May 14. Impressive because they only had six girls competing for points.     The three-way contest for one seat on the Glasgow School Board was settled Tuesday night. Mona Amundson was elected to a three-year term with 739 votes. Sarah Swanson had 418 votes and Rod Ost had 137. Voting was running high for this election. Forty-three percent of the 3,084 registered voters requested absentee ballots.
