    Both the boys and girls Scottie cross country teams placed second at their home meet Sept. 17 at Kiwanis Park in Fort Peck on a beautiful and mild day making for perfect running conditions. The Glasgow boys earned 45 points, a single point behind Custer County. Havre took third with 65 points; Poplar fourth with 83; Fort Benton fifth at 120 and Scobey earned 129 points for sixth place. Cassius Smoker led the varsity boys team with a 57th place finish at 27:01.01, improving his previous weeks time by 27 seconds. Joseph Beston ran a 35:52.96 for 63rd place.
