    Donna Mae Tihista, 89, the daughter of Ingvald and Magda (Hartvikson) Leraas, was born May 2, 1933, in Knox, N.D. At the age of one and half she traveled with her parents to their new home 26 miles north of Nashua, Mont. She graduated from Nashua High School in 1951 and immediately began working in Glasgow, Mont. She soon gained employment as a secretary at Bjorklund Insurance Agency where she worked for the next three years until her marriage to Jed Tihista on Oct. 10, 1954. Together they... Full story

    The annual Valley County 4-H & FFA Livestock Sale will be taking place on Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at the Northeast Montana Fair Grounds. A pre-sale viewing will start at 3:30 p.m., with the sale beginning at 4 p.m. At present count, this year will see 27 market beef, 16 market lambs, 8 poultry, and 47 market swine up for auction.     It’s not exactly set up as a tournament of champions, but the 14th annual Glasgow Catfish Classic sure looks like it will be just that.     The three-way contest for one seat on the Glasgow School Board was settled Tuesday night. Mona Amundson was elected to a three-year term with 739 votes. Sarah Swanson had 418 votes and Rod Ost had 137. Voting was running high for this election. Forty-three percent of the 3,084 registered voters requested absentee ballots.
