Karen Jean Johnson

1948-2013

Karen Jean (Musgrove) Johnson, 64, died unexpectedly on Monday, Feb. 25, 2013, at Vancouver General Hospital in British Columbia.

She was born in Glasgow, Mont., on May 25, 1948, along with her twin brother, Karl, to Loren and Bernice Musgrove. She was raised on the flat in the River Hills and attended school in Frazer and Nashua until her family moved to Canada in 1964. She lived with her family in Upper Cache Creek District until she graduated out of grade 12 in Fort St. John BC., Canada.

On July 21, 1967, she married Dale Johnson. They both went to work for five years in the oil construction industry with Karen cooking in various remote cat camps. In 1971 they returned to raise beef cattle and children while developing their ranch in Upper Cache Creek.
