Cody Hamlin Ames

Cody Hamlin Ames, 30, of Williston, N.D., died Saturday morning, March 9, 2013, outside of Williston, N.D.

He was born Oct. 19, 1982, to Mike Ames and Jan (Shipp) Ames in Williston, N.D., and was a lifelong resident. His appreciation for the outdoors began at a young age as he grew up taking regular family trips to the Missouri River and Lake Sakakawea. Every year he looked forward to family canoe trips down the river, fishing trips to Canada, and pheasant hunting with his family and friends. He found a way to spend even more time enjoying the outdoors as he traded in his bicycle for a motorcycle and rode nearly every day.
