| An early 22-0 run for the Scottie boys salted their 69-44 win over Poplar in a quasi play-in game during the District 2B Tournament. The Scotties were ahead 8-6 early in the first before scoring 22 consecutive points to put away the Indians. The game cemented the Scotties’ spot in the Northern B Divisional Tournament in two weeks in Cut Bank and the loss ended the Indians’ season. Jake Page’s seven points in the first quarter and a pair of Bryan Larson threes were the driving force behind the Scotties’ 22-0 run in the first half and helped them hold a commanding 46-9 lead at half. Page finished with12 points and four rebounds while Larson tallied 15 points in the win. Poplar was led by Connor Ogle who dropped 18 points on 8-of-17 shooting. Another Ogle, Nick Ogle, scored 13 for the Indians, as well. The Scotties’ seeding at the divisional tournament rests on the outcome of the Harlem, Plentywood game scheduled for 12:30 later today. If Plentywood gets the win, the Scotties will be the fourth seed at divisionals. If Harlem gets the victory, Glasgow will be the third seed. *Full story in the print edition of The Courier.* Click Here To See More Stories Like This |
