Bertha Helene “Bette” Sorensen

Bertha Helene “Bette” (Folkvord) Sorensen, 81, of Billings, Mont., formerly of Sidney and Glasgow, died Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at home from compilations of diabetes and congestive heart failure.

Known as Bette to family and friends, she was born to Peder and Anna (Walstad) Folkvord, in Beach, N.D., on Aug. 19, 1931. She grew up on her grandparent's homestead in the Squaw Gap, N.D., area. She attended Clark School and Sidney High School, graduating in 1949. She attended Northern Montana College in Havre.
