He began school in 1923 at Tango, then Black Eagle, and onto Opheim High School, where he completed the 10th grade. He spent the summers on horseback, mostly bare back. In the winter they spent time skiing, tobogganing and skating. He loved music, and along with his brothers, played for many local dances. He worked in the Anno coal mine as well as his Uncle Walt’s mine. He farmed, ranched, trained horses, sheered sheep, and trapped weasel. He enjoyed jobs working with horses the most, but never had a job he didn’t like. Full obituaries appear in the Glasgow Courier print edition Click Here To See More Stories Like This |
