| Earl E. Fuhrman, 86, of Glasgow, died from natural causes on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012, at the St. Mary’s Hospital in Tucson, Ariz. Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 4, at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Glasgow, followed by interment in the Highland Cemetery in Glasgow. He was born on March 20, 1926, in the Baylor community, the son of Peter K. and Pauline (Miller) Fuhrman. He attended grade school at the South Fuhrman School and graduated from Glasgow High School in 1943. He entered the U.S. Army for World War II and served 18 months in the European Theatre serving in the Armored Infantry for the U.S. Military. He was fluent in speaking German. On Oct. 16, 1947, he married Rita Mae Downing in Glasgow. He enjoyed flying, served on the Advisory Board of the Agriculture Experiment Station in Sidney, and served many years on the Opheim School Board. He was a president and director of the Valley County Livestock Association. Family was everything to Earl. Full obituary appears in the Glasgow Courier print edition.
