Robert "Rob" Smith

| Robert “Rob” Smith, 41, died at his home in Glasgow, Mont., on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012. He was born June 26, 1971, in Euclid, Ohio, to Geraldine Williams and Bobby Smith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He later graduated from Texas A&M, where along with his Navy training, he became a meteorologist. He was the weekend weather anchor for KBTX television in College Station from 2000 – 2003 and for KNWA Television in Fayetteville, Ark., from 2003 – 2004. He later became the weekday PM weather anchor for WVVA television in Bluefield, W.V., from 2004 – 2007. In 2007, he moved to Glasgow and became a general forecaster with the U.S. National Weather Service, NOAA.
