PANKRATZ, KELLER REPEAT WOMEN'S WALLEYE WIN

For a second year in a row, Jan Pankratz and Shelley Keller won the Glasgow/Fort Peck Chapter of Walleyes Unlimited Women's Walleye Tournament on Saturday, July 28.

This time around, Pankratz and Keller out of Lustre bested the rest of the 42 teams by more than seven pounds. Pankratz and Keller ended up with 29.76 lbs of fish.

Winning two years in a row "is great. We enjoyed it," said Pankratz. "Last year we had a specific goal . . . this year, we were just defending our title I guess."

And defend it they did.

Stephanie and Heather Murch of Glasgow came in second place with 22.35 lbs total. Jill and Mandi Meiers also of Glasgow came in third with a weight of 19.34 lbs.

The tournament was highly competitive as 41 of the 43 teams entered caught at least one fish. Each team was allowed a boat navigator, regardless of gender, though the tournament was for women only.
