Walleye Tourney Still Open For Registration 

There is still time to sign up for the 25th ANNUAL MONTANA GOVERNOR’S CUP WALLEYE TOURNAMENT to be held JULY 12, 13 & 14 2012 at FORT PECK LAKE, MT. As of July 2nd 2012 we are up to 82 Teams and the roster is updated daily on www.mtgovcup.com!

The Governor’s Cup has something for the whole family. You and a partner can fish for cash and prizes for two days at an entry fee of $300.00. Registration starts at 3:00pm on Thursday evening. Thursday July 12TH FROM 8:00A.M.-12:00P.M. is the Guys & Gals’ Tournament, the fee is $25.00. The kid’s fishing tournament begins Saturday JULY 14TH with registration from 7:45-8:30a.m., at Kiwanis shelter #4. Fishing for the kid’s begins at 8:30a.m., with a water safety program, fishing, prizes and hot dogs; the chamber will be assisted by the Corps of Engineers and MT Dept. of Fish, Wildlife & Parks. The Friday night fish fry and Calcutta will be held at Kiwanis park beginning at 5:00p.m. Live music by ‘The Dirty Shame’ Band’, Bergie’s ice Cream, S&K Mini Donuts, a Live Art Draw and bounce houses will keep the kids and families entertained during the Fish Fry/Calcutta. Lucas Strommen will keep the Calcutta rolling while Joe Herbold will be the emcee for the tournament. There will also be a ‘25th Anniversary Celebration Street Dance’ at the Historic Ft. peck Hotel after the Tournament on Saturday from 8:00pm- midnight.

There are some great raffle items this year, a Treager Grill, Yeti Cooler, 2013 Governor’s Cup entry, $500.00 gas from Ezzies, a Cathryn Sugg Original Oil Painting ‘Walleye on the line’ and a 50/50 drawing, and lots of great giveaways and sponsor merchandise.

Reminder to all fishermen: There is a MANDITORY boat inspection at the information booth in Fort Peck. ALL boats prior to entering the lake MUST be inspected. Expect 15-20 minutes in line.
