Hinsdale Rodeo To Provide Fireworks Day Before July 4

Before the fireworks on July 4, the 33rd Annual Hinsdale Rodeo will provide its own spectacle on July 3.

The rodeo will feature dozens of local cowboys and cowgirls competing in several events, including: saddleback bronc riding, bareback bronc riding, calf roping and of course bull riding, among others.

And this year, the rodeo will begin with even more of a bang as the large amount of entrants in the bull riding event means the rodeo will begin with one of the two sections of bull riding right at 6 p.m.

Glasgow's own Cody Tribby and Jesse Cook will be competing in bull riding, along with Hinsdale's Nate Remmich. All three competed in the Opheim Rodeo on Sunday, June 24, but fell short of winning as Saco's Esaac Garcia put on a show with an extraordinary bull ride. Garcia will join Tribby, Cook and Remmich at the Hinsdale Rodeo to try to repeat his success.

In the ladies' breakaway roping event, Amy Solberg, of Opheim, Bailey Remmich, of Hinsdale, Kelsey Meland, of Glasgow and Brett See, of Glasgow, will compete.

In the saddle bronc riding event, Hinsdale will feature four riders, including, Chisholm Christensen, Jason Beil, Chase Younkin and Grant Burgess. Alex Burnham of Saco will also be competing in the event.

Tandie Solberg, of Richland, Brett See, of Glasgow, and Megan Funk and Bailey Remmich, both of Hinsdale, will compete in the ladies' barrel race event.

Hinsdale's Dustin Pankratz and Opheim's Tanner Solberg will be competing in the tie-down roping event. And in the junior barrel race event, Halie Beil, Randy Jo Klind, and Sara Jimison will compete.

Other events will include the bareback riding event, the team roping event, the junior breakaway roping event and the wild cow milking event.

A street dance will follow the rodeo.
