ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FOR REPLACEMENT OF INFLATABLE C

The Malta Irrigation District (herein called the “District”) of Malta, Montana, will receive sealed bids for procurement of replacement inflatable crest gate for Dodson Dam west of Dodson, Montana, until 12:00 p.m. local time, on the 10^th day of July 2012, at the District Office, at which time and place all bids will be publicly opened and read aloud.

The Contract Documents, including drawings and specifications, are on file at the District Office, 509 South 3rd Street East, Malta, Montana.

This bid includes procurement and delivery of materials and does not include construction.

Each bid must be accompanied by either: (1) lawful money of the United States; (2) cashier’s check, certified check, bank money order, or bank draft, in any case drawn and issued by a National Banking Association located in the State of Montana; or by any banking corporation incorporated under the laws of the State of Montana; (3) a bid bond or bond executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Montana, and made payable to the Malta Irrigation District, Malta, Montana, in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid; or (4) a Bank Letter of Credit from an established and reputable financial institution which will serve as a bid security in the amount of ten (10) percent of the bid. Such check shall be given as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the Contract included in the Contract Documents and furnish bonding as specified within fifteen (15) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the bidder, and if the bidder fails to do so, the security so deposited shall be forfeited as provided in MCA Section 18-1-201 et. seq.

No bid shall be withdrawn after opening of the bids without the consent of the District for a period of 60 days after the scheduled time of closing bids. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities in bidding.

The successful bidder will be required to furnish a satisfactory performance bond in the sum of the full amount of the Contract.

It is an expressed condition of the Contract that the performance of the District is contingent upon funds being available by the District in a sufficient amount to pay for the replacement covered hereby and that if such funds are not available, the Malta Irrigation District shall be under no obligation to perform under the Contract.

Sealed bids shall be marked on the outside “Bid for Procurement of Replacement Inflatable Crest Gate for Dodson Dam near Dodson, Montana.”
