PROPOSALS SOUGHT

Published: Wednesday, April 11th, 2012

Starting April 4, 2012, the Milk River Watershed Alliance (MRWA) and the Weed Districts of Hill, Blaine, Phillips and Valley counties are accepting proposals from licensed, qualified weed management professionals for the fourth year of a ten-year Cooperative Weed Management Area (CWMA) Project which will continue in the summer of 2012 in Valley and Phillips counties. The purpose of the CWMA is to inventory and eradicate Montana listed noxious weeds for a width of 200 feet on either side of the Milk River from the base of Fresno Dam to the confluence of the Missouri River in Valley County. Weeds will be controlled on both private and publicly owned lands. Participation among land owners in the four counties is voluntary, each landowner will be contacted before inventory and treatment occurs. The full Request for Proposals (RFP) and all supplemental documentation are available on the MRWA website at milkriverwatershedalliance.com. Complete Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m. on April 30th. Please contact the MRWA Coordinator at (406) 265-6792, ext. 101 or Jennifer.kenck@mt.nacdnet.net with any questions.
