It was a beautiful Friday night in Conrad for the Glasgow Scotties’ final regular season game. With anticipation in the air, the Scotties took the field ready to play hard and finish out the regular season strong. Last Friday night the Scotties traveled to Plentywood to play the Wildcats for an important game. At stake was the District 2B Conference title and the first and second conference seeds for the upcoming playoffs. The winner (first place team) would host the first two rounds of the playoffs and the state championship game, provided they won all their contests. This past weekend Wolf Point came to town to take on the Glasgow Scotties. The Glasgow Scottie football team came out of the gates on fire last Friday night against their 2B conference rivals, the Malta Mustangs, and cruised to a decisive 38-6 victory. The Scotties – stocked with key players from Glasgow, Nashua and Hinsdale this season – had their foot on the gas pedal in the first half to build a 35-0 lead and start a “running clock” before halftime. Homecoming 2013 was a huge success. The Glasgow Scotties took on the Shelby Coyotes and pounded them pretty hard, 42-9. The Scotties were on fire from start to finish. Following the big homecoming win against Shelby, the Scotties traveled to Harlem and took on the Harlem Wildcats. They were victorious, 35-0,and the Scotties are now 3-1 and ranked No. 6 in the Montana Class B football poll.
