    Glasgow's Swing Choir did not disappoint at their annual spring concert held May 18, at the Ridge Runners Club. The performance has become quite an attraction, with this year's concert drawing almost 400 people. The performance featured the choir's take on several pop songs that spanned several generations and genres.     Last week during their weekly Discussion and Decision Meeting, the Valley County Commissioners had quite a few things on their agenda. The first item of the meeting concerned county employees purchasing tax liens.     With summer nearing and the temperatures rising, people of all ages are again beginning to ride their bicycles. While biking is a healthy mode of transportation, it still poses potential hazards and risks that can be minimized through helmets, being cautious, and using your bike in a safe manner.     This week, Valley County Commissioners approved the purchase of four used Self Contained Breathing Apparatuses (SCBA) for the fire department. The SCBA’s to be purchased are certified and have a seven-year life span. The equipment will cost $1,600. The commissioners also committed $3,000 to the Valley County Fair Board.   • Pioneer Museum Resumes Summer Schedule

    The Pioneer Museum will be resuming their summer schedule on Monday, May 1. Museum staff is in spring cleaning mode at the facility this week in preparation for the additional traffic that is expected to come with the extended hours.     The Gateway Club closed its doors on Sunday, April 23. According to former employees, the local landmark at the western end of the Fort Peck Dam was shut down, taking its status from temporarily closed to permanently shuttered.     On Monday morning a sentencing hearing was held for Adam Kelley in District Court in Glasgow. Kelley was convicted earlier this year on theft charges stemming from stealing items from several garages around Glasgow, and ultimately resulting in the theft of a vehicle. The vehicle and Kelley were located in Roundup, Montana, where Kelley faced an additional charge of Possession of Methamphetamine.     Valley County Commissioners would like it to be known that the Milk River Bridge south of Nashua will be getting the deck replaced this summer. Early indications show that the project should take 10 weeks and traffic will be limited to a single lane.     During a traffic stop along Highway 2 on April 6, sheriff’s deputies discovered a concealed weapon and drugs on Aaron Todd Morris of Spokane, Wash. While initially pulled over for speeding, authorities discovered Morris was also driving without a valid license, current insurance and was in possession of drugs and a concealed weapon.     Judge Yvonne Laird handed down sentences in two unrelated drug cases on March 6 in District Court. The two men were both convicted of charges of possession of dangerous drugs with intent to distribute. Cody Tolliver, originally from Great Falls, was sentenced to five years in state prison for criminal possession of dangerous drugs.     On Feb. 10, the Glasgow Police Department responded to a complaint from a resident at the Roosevelt Hotel regarding water coming in from the ceiling. Responding Officer Trent Gamas observed water leaking from the ceiling on the third floor and draining into the basement.
