Scotties Tracksters Set PRs

The Glasgow track teams hit two meets this past week: the 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 in Glasgow April 29 and the Gene Nelson Memorial Meet in Wolf Point May 3.

The boys set six personal records at the Top 10 while the girls hit four personal bests and one season record.

In Wolf Point the boys won the meet with 91.5 team points and the girls finished second with 98 team points. The boys notched nine personal bests and one season record while the girls established five personal records and two season records.

Boys

Khye Gamas set a new personal record in the 200 meters at 23.59 and placed third. He won the 400 meters with a personal best 51.03 time.

Kyler Holinde won the 800 meters at 2:02.62, a new personal record. Tavin Boland placed fifth at 2:10.90.

Adam Mickelson took fourth in the 110m hurdles at 17.59. Michael King ran an 18.49 for ninth place. Mickelson placed sixth in the 300m hurdles with a 44.9 time.

Gamas, Nick Solorzano, Kyler Whitman and Wyatt Babb teamed up for a 45.48 in the 4x100 relay and second place. Whitman, Boland, Holinde and Gamas earned a second place in the 4x400 relay at 3:33.53.

Babb won the discus with a personal best 148-06 throw. Vaughn Miller took second at 144-01 and Connor Hudyma earned fourth at 141-02, a personal record. Miller won the javelin with a personal record 169-06 throw.

Solorzano and Mickelson took fourth and fifth in the pole vault after clearing 11-06.00 and 11-00.00, respectively.

Girls

Gina Page took 10th in the 100 meters and eighth in the 200 meters with times of 13.75 and 27.92.

Kimber Dulaney set a personal record in the 800 meters at 2:34.27 and took third place. Joely Chappell ran a 2:39.20 for fifth place. Riley Evenson-Glasoe also set a personal record – 2:46.04 – and took 10th place.

Emily See ran a 5:39.46 in the 1600 meters for fourth place and a season record. Tanae Baker won the 3200 meters with a personal best 11:29.43. Haleigh Huntsman took eighth at 13:09.33 followed by Kheyerah Bilger in 10th place at 14:00.84.

Mayzie Yoakam took fifth in the 100m hurdles at 17.32.

Chappell, Yoakam, See and Page earned fifth place in the 4x400 relay at 4:19.68.

Hannah Holinde earned sixth in the shot put with a personal best 34-11.75 throw.

Eve Stone took third in pole vault after clearing 9-06.00 while Yoakam vaulted 8-06.00 for fifth place. Yoakam also took fifth in the triple jump with a 33-04.00 distance.

Boys

Gamas took third out of 65 in the 100 meters at 12.17. Whitman earned fifth at 12.40. Solorzano ran a 12.86 for 15th place. Co. Hudyma ran a season record 13.18 for 20th followed by Liam Chapman in 21st at 13.25. Wyatt Sugg took 23rd at 13.29. Dillon Hughes came in 31st at 13.54 and Myles Yoakam ran a 13.72 for 36th place. Andrew Linder finished in 57th at 14.78. Whitman also ran the 200 meters, finishing in 25.45 and eighth place out of 30 runners.

Holinde took second in the 1600 meters with a 4:44.46 time. Timothy Pearson set a personal record at 5:37.66 and finished 10th out of 32 racers. In the 3200 meters, Rowen Kloker took 10th out of 20 at 12:30.24.

Mickelson ran a 19.88 in the 110m hurdles for fourth place out of 12 racers. Gage Larsen took 10th with a personal best 22.26. In the 300m hurdles, Noah Runner ran a 48.67 to take second out of 14 in the event. Larsen placed eighth at 52.21.

Gamas, Solorzano, Whitman and Toryn Richards placed third out of 11 in the 4x100 relay at 46.38.

Co. Hudyma, Miller and Ca. Hudyma all set personal records in the shot put, placing third, fourth and fifth, respectively, out of 55 tracksters. Co. Hudyma threw 41-08.50 followed by Miller at 41-06.00 and Ca. Hudyma at 40-04.00. Rex Monson tied for 16th at 34-05.00 and Sugg took 19th at 33-05.00. Braxton Potter threw 27-05.50 for 42nd followed by Jacob Potter in 43rd at 27-04.50.

Co. Hudyma won the discus out of 65 throwers with a 132-00 distance. Miller threw 129-07 for second place. Ca. Hudyma set a personal record at 122-04 and placed fifth. Myles Yoakam took ninth at 112-03. Linder set a personal record and placed 23rd with a 95-01 throw. Sugg threw 92-11 for 25th place followed by J. Potter in 30th at 86-10, a personal record. B. Potter threw 71-09 for 52nd place.

Solorzano threw 130-08 in the javelin for sixth out of 55 places. My. Yoakam took 11th at 120-10 and Noah Runner threw a personal best 114-03 to take 16th place.

Whitman cleared 5-02.00 in the high jump to tie for sixth place out of eight.

Mickelson won the pole vault out of four after clearing 11-00.00. Solorzano also cleared 11-00.00 for second place.

Boland set a personal record in the long jump at 19-04.00 and took fourth out of 55 competitors. Chapman placed seventh at 18-06.00 followed by Gamas in eighth with an 18-04.00 jump. Solorzano jumped 17-05.50 for 14th place.

Boland earned fifth in the triple jump out of 21 with a 35-08.50 distance. Runner took 14th at 33-06.00.

Girls

Page took third out of 46 in the 100 meters at 14.31. Kaylly Turner ran a 15.36 for 12th place while Abigail Kulczyk took 16th at 15.63. Ellie Tryan placed 33rd with a 16.51 time and Lacey White ran a 17.27 for 41st place.

Page took fourth out of 34 in the 200 meters with a 28.95 time. Kulczyk ran a 31.33 for 16th place. Turner took 19th at 32.02 followed by Evenson-Glasoe in 20th at 32.31, a personal record.

Chappell ran a personal best 1:08.01 in the 400 meters for third place out of 12 runners.

Baker took second in the 800 meters out of 12 runners with a 2:34.87. Evenson-Glasoe ran a 2:51.48 for sixth place and Bilger took ninth at 2:53.45.

Dulaney set a season record in the 1600 meters and placed fourth out of nine at 6:21.23.

See ran a 12:53.14 in the 3200 meters to take second out of eight. Huntsman ran a 13:18.29 for fourth followed by Bilger in fifth at 13:43.75.

Ava Runner took third in the 100m hurdles out of 15 with a 19.49 time. Ma. Yoakam took sixth at 20.52.

Chezney Olson, Tryan, Turner and A. Runner combined for a 58.11 in the 4x100 relay and seventh place out of nine teams.

H. Holinde placed second out of 39 in the shot put with a 33-05.00 toss. Molly Whitmer threw a personal best 21-04.00 to tie for 27th place. Myli Swindler threw 21-03.00 for 29th place.

H. Holinde also took second in the discus, throwing a personal best 98-00. Whitmer also set a personal record at 73-05 and finished 13th out of 36 competitors. Swindler was right behind her in 14th and a 69-08 throw. White threw 60-05 to take 22nd place.

Swindler led the Scotties in the javelin taking 28th out of 42 places with a 59-11 throw. White and A. Runner took 29th and 30th, respectively, with throws of 59-08 and 57-09. Whitmer threw 53-01 for 34th and Kulczyk took 37th at 50-05.

Stone set a season record and took second out of 10 in the high jump after clearing 4-10.00. Dulaney jumped 4-04.00 to take sixth place and A. Runner jumped 4-00.00 for ninth place.

Stone won the pole vault after clearing 9-06.00. Ma. Yoakam vaulted 9-06.00 for second place out of 14 in the event. Tryan took 12th at 5-06.00.

Page jumped 14-00.00 in the long jump for 14th out of 36 competitors. In the triple jump, Stone took fourth out of 15 at 30-06.00. A. Runner took sixth with a 29-04.50 distance.

The Scotties enter the postseason Saturday, May 11, at the District 2B Championships in Wolf Point. Events will begin at 9 a.m.
