Glasgow's Tracksters Compete In Wolf Point And Glendive

Girls Win First in Froshmore Invite, Boys Take Second

Glasgow's underclassmen tracksters hit the Scobey Froshmore Invite in Wolf Point April 23 while the entire team traveled to Glendive April 26 for the Shriners Invitational.

In Wolf Point, the Scottie girls won the meet with 94 points while the boys took second with 90 points. The girls set 11 personal and four season records and the boy shit 18 personal bests with one season record.

The Scottie boys took fourth in Glendive with 56 team points and the girls finished in sixth place with 37 points. The boys established 13 personal and six season records with the girls setting seven personal and nine season bests.

Froshmore Invite

Girls

Kaylly Turner led the Scotties in the 100 meters, placing ninth out of 40 at 14.61. Ellie Tryan finished 17th at 15.37, Chezney Olson 23rd at 15.84 and Lacey White 31st at 16.47. Turner took second out of 20 in the 200 meters at 30.75 while Olson ran a personal best 33.79 for 15th place.

Gina Page set a season record in the 400 meters at 1:05.04 and took second out of 14 in the event. In the 800 meters, Kimber Dulaney set a season recored while Joely Chappell and Haleigh Huntsman set personal bests. Kimber took second out of 12 with a 2:38.51 time. Chappell ran a 2:39.02 for third followed by Huntsman in fourth at 2:42.53.

Mayzie Yoakam won the 100m hurdles with a personal best 16.54, defeating 12 others in the race. Ava Runner placed sixth at 18.94, also a personal best. Yoakam and Runner took first and second in the 300m hurdles out of seven. Yoakam ran a personal best 51.57 while Runner finished in 54.01.

Molly Whitmer, Hannah Holinde, Paityn Britzman and White ran the 4x100 relay to take sixth out of six with a 1:03.68 time.

Holinde won the shot put, out-throwing 38 others at 34-07.00. Yoakam placed fifth at 29-05.00. Britzman threw 25-00.00 for 19th place. Whitmer and White took 34th and 35th at 19-03.00 and 19-02.00, respectively. White's throw was a season record.

Holinde threw a personal best 87-08 in the discus to take second out of 38 in the event. Britsman took ninth at 76-02 followed by Whitmer in 15th with a 68-08 throw. White placed 32nd at 50-08.

White led the Scotties in the javelin, placing 23rd out of 35 with a 64-08 throw. Runner threw a personal best 62-11 to finish right behind her in 24th place. Britzman took 32nd at 48-03.

Dulaney took second out of seven in the high jump with a season record 4-08.00 height. In the pole vault, ellie Tryan cleared a personal best 6-06.00 for eighth out of 12 competitors.

Page tied for first in the long jump at 14-02.00. Turner took 17th out of 32 with a personal best 11-02.00. Olson finished 24th at 10-02.00, a personal record.

Boys

Kyler Whitman won the 100 meters at 11.80, beating 41 other runners. Liam Chapman finished eighth with a personal best 12.53. Cade Hudyma also set a personal best at 12.94 and took 17th place. Braxton Potter and Jacob Potter both set personal bests and finished in 37th and 39th at 15.41 and 15.76, respectively.

Chapman paced the boys in the 200 meters with a personal best 25.54 and fourth place out of 24 racers. Tavin Boland ran a 26.41 for 10th place and Timothy Pearson took 20th at 28.62, both personal records.

Gage Larsen ran a personal best 1:02.25 in the 400 meters for 11th out of 18 in the event. He also took fourth out of six in the 300m hurdles at 52.62.

Whitman and Wyatt Sugg set personal records in the 800 meters, taking fifth and sixth at 1:22.77 and 2:26.77, respectively, out of 13 runners.

Pearson took fourth out of 13 in the 1600 meters with a personal best 5:38.16. Rowen Kloker set a personal record at 5:47.94 and finished ninth.

Whitman, B. Potter, J. Potter and Sugg combined for a fifth out of seven showing in the 4x100 relay at 53.14. In the 4x400 relay, Chapman, Larsen, Whitman and Sugg won over two other teams with a 3:59.47 time.

Hudyma led the Scotties in the shot put with a second place showing out of 32 and a 39-02.00 toss. Sugg took sixth at 35-05. Andrew Linder threw a personal best 26-11.00 for 21st place. J. Potter finished 23rd at 26-00.00 followed by B. Potter in 24th at 25-11.00.

Hudyma set a personal record of 121-09 in the discus to take second out of 39 competitors. Wugg also set a personal record at 100-01 and took sixth. J. Potter's personal best 80-04 put him in 14th place. B. Potter finished 26th with a 67-09 throw.

Larsen took third out of five in the pole vault after clearing a personal best 8-00.00.

Boland won the long jump with a personal best 18-11.00 jump, beating 30 others in the event. Whitman took second with a 17-11.00 leap. Chapman jumped 16-10.00 for sixth place. Boland finished fourth in the triple jump out of 14 with a 35-10.00 distance.

Girls

Page took 10th out of 46 in the 100 meters with a season best 13.41. Tryan placed 40th with a personal best 14.81 while White finished in 46th at 16.18, a personal record. Page also set a season record int eh 200 meters at 27.78 and took fifth out of 35 in the race. She finished 10th out of 37 in the 400 meters at 1:05.12.

Tanae Baker and Emily See finished seventh and eighth, respectively, out of 38 in the 800 meters, both with season records. Baker ran a 2:31.42 with See finishing in 2:31.83. Dulaney and Chappell took 14th and 15 at 2:39.87 and 2:40.80, respectively. Riley Evenson-Glasoe set a personal record at 2:47.61 for 20th place.

Baker took second in the 1600 meters out of 27 with a 5:30.77 time. See set a season record at 5:48.75 and took fifth. Huntsman's personal best 6:03.31 put her in 10th place while Kheyerah Bilger's season record 6:15.71 put her in 13th place. Bilger also took third in the 3200 meters out of nine at 13:56.84.

Yoakam earned fourth out of 24 in the 100m hurdles at 16.86. Runner took 16th at 19.28. She finsihed ninth out of 16 in the 300m hurdles with a personal best 53.76.

Holinde finished seventh out of 45 in the shot put with a 33-08.00 toss. She took 16th out of 44 in the discus at 82-00. Britzman threw 78-04 to finish directly behind her in 17th place. Myli Swindler set a season record at 73-02 for 23rd and Whitmer finished 29th at 67-09.

White led the Scotties in the javelin with a 29th out of 42 showing and a 62-10 throw. Whitmer threw 49-03 for 37th and Swindler finished 40th at 42-08.

Eve Stone cleared 4-08.00 in the high jump to take sixth out 17 competitors. Dulaney finished in a six-way tie for 12th after clearing 4-06.00.

Yoakam took second out of 16 in the pole vault with a personal best 10-00.00 height. Stone's season-best 10-00.00 vault put her in third place.

Page took 18th in the long jump out of 33 with a 14-10.50 leap. Chappell tied for 19th at 14-10.25 and Stone's season best 14-03.25 put her in 26th place.

Yoakam earned seventh out of 29 in the triple jump at 33-01.25. Stone's personal best 31-05.25 distance put her in 13th and Runner finished in 17th at 29-11.75.

Boys

Whitman, Nick Solorzano and Dillon Hughes all set personal records in the 100 meters. Whitman ran an 11.75 for 12th out of 62 racers. Solorzano took 20th at 12.00 and Hughes ran a 12.84 for 53rd place.

Wyatt Babb set a personal record in the 200 meters at 24.65 and took 13th out of 54 runners. Sugg ran a 26.10 for 36th followed by Hughes in 41st at 26.42.

Chapman ran a personal best 57.01 in the 400 meters to take 11th out of 47 in the event. Boland, in the 800 meters, ran a 2:14.00 to take eighth out of 38 competitors. Kyler Holinde set a season record in the 1600 meters at 4:42.11 for second out of 37 places.

Khye Gamas placed third in the 110m hurdles with a season record 17.07 while Adam Mickelson ran a personal best 17.43 to take fifth out of 18 hurdlers. Michael King's personal best 18.33 put him in 11th place. Gamas also set a season record in the 300m hurdles at 42.71 to take second out of 18 places. Mickelson's personal best 44.48 put him in fifth place. King took 10th at 46.61 followed by N. Runner in 11th at 47.98, a personal best.

Gamas, Solorzano, Whitman and Babb ran a 46.01 in the 4x100 relay to take fourth out of nine. In the 4x400, Gamas, Boland, Whitman and Holinde ran a 3:40.29 for third out of 10 teams.

Vaughn Miller and Hudyma both set personal records in the shot put at 40-10.75 and 40-02.75, respectively. Miller tied for 11th and Hudyma finished 13th out of 56 competitors. Connor Hudyma took 27th at 38-04.75 and Sugg's personal best 35-08.75 put him in 37th place.

Babb's season record 141-00 throw in the discus earned him second out of 46 in the event. Miller threw 140-05 to finish right behind him in third. Co. Hudyma took sixth with a 133-05 throw. Myles Yoakam threw 107-01 for 21st place. In the javelin, N. Runner threw 106-04 for 18th place out of 40 competitors.

Mickelson cleared a personal best 11-06.00 in the pole vault to take fourth out of nine. Solorzano finished sixth at 11-00.00.

Gamas took 12th out of 42 in the long jump at 19-01.75. Chapman jumped 18-05.75 for 16th place while Boland took 24th with an 18-00.00 jump. Toryn Richards' season record 17-08.00 jump put him in 29th place.

Richards led the team in the triple jump at 36-11.50 and a 10th out of 28 showing. Boland set a personal best at 36-06.50 and took 12th place while N. Runner finished 19th at 35-00.00.

The 42nd Annual Norm Girard Top 10 Meet was held April 29 in Glasgow. The following athletes were set to compete:
