The housing crunch has been felt in Glasgow over the past few years. With the city growing slowly but steadily, a need for more housing will continue. Recently, the Glasgow Planning Board approved a conditional use permit for an additional mobile home park that could help address the need. The new mobile park will be located behind the Northern Lights Casino in Glasgow. Director of Public Works Bob Kompel said that the planning board approved the site for 30 units, but owner Burt Johnston's current plans include 21.

It was a well-researched design for the Nashua School Board. While controversial to some of the parents and families involved, the final vote for a four-day school week came in on March 18. The school board approved the schedule to begin next year in a 4-1 vote. Linda Parpart, the district's business administrator explained that there would be no school for a majority of Fridays in the upcoming school year, with the exception being when there are four Monday holidays in a week, when there is a week of district track and when students would be off on a Wednesday.

As the track and field season enters its second week, many of the athletes on the team are used to having to battle the elements at the beginning of each year. This year, the team also has another hurdle to overcome as long-time track and field coach, John LaBonty is recovering from a procedure. The team is under assistant track coach Tim Phillips and fellow track coach Wade Nelson, who coaches field events such as discuss, shot put and javelin. "Our goal is to always win Districts and Divisionals in running," Phillips said.
