Four Arrested And Charged For Stolen Vehicle And Chase That Ended In Valley County

On Jan. 6, a report was received that three suspects had stole a vehicle from Culbertson, Mont., and law enforcement initiated a pursuit which came into Valley County. A Valley County deputy continued the pursuit across the Porcupine Creek onto Roosevelt Trail, where the three suspects then fled on foot.

Law enforcement continued to attempt to find the three subjects and deployed a drone using thermal imaging. Based upon the information at the time, it was believed the suspects were young adults, two males and one female.

The public was made aware of the suspects and advised those who have buildings or vehicles with keys in them to be vigilant of their surroundings. It was also advised not to approach the suspects and to call law enforcement if anything seems suspicious.

At 8:49 a.m., on Jan. 7, it was reported by law enforcement that all three suspects have been apprehended. Approximately an hour later, at 9:43 a.m., it was determined a fourth suspect was still at large and was later apprehended at 10:10 a.m.

All four suspects have been charged and are currently in the Valley County Detention Center.

A male, age 23, was charged with speeding, reckless driving, fleeing from or eluding peace officer, criminal endangerment and theft.

A male, age 25, was charged with theft and fleeing from or eluding peace officer.

A female, age 45, was charged with theft and fleeing from or eluding peace officer.

A female, age 25, was charged with criminal possession of drug paraphernalia, theft, criminal possession of dangerous drugs and fleeing from or eluding peace officer.
