Letter to the Editor

Cindy, Pet Rescue

I am writing this letter in response to the decision that was reached by the City Council. They denied Cindy [Ramsbacher] a pet rescue permit. I really don't understand this decision.

We have had a cat rescue in Glasgow for some time, so why give them a permit and not Cindy? Cindy works very hard to take care of every dog she gets. They are fed, they are warm, and they go to the vet to get their shots and whatever they need. She also tries very hard to get them adopted.

I have a dog that I adopted from her. I love him She will not be able to do this any longer. What is going to happen to the dogs? They will be outside with nowhere to go. They will be eating out of garbages and wherever they can to get something to eat. Nobody will be feeding them. They will be out in the cold with nowhere to get warm or cool off in the summer. They will not get any vet care and no shots.

People that don't want their puppies will dump them somewhere and they will probably die.

Do we really want that? Why are you punishing the dogs? This is a problem people have created. They no longer want to take care of their pets so they just dump them somewhere. If people would take care of their pets there wouldn't be any need for a rescue. Stray dogs and dogs without homes are that way because of the people who let them down. Punish the people, not the dogs. I am very ashamed of the people who have made this decision. Dogs are living, breathing and very loving animals. You have all let them down.

Cindy, you are my hero. Thank you for everything you have done to make this world a better place for dogs.
