Mary Houle Dunning

Mary Houle Dunning, 77, passed away on Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, of natural causes at her home in Nashua, Mont.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held later in the spring, with interment in the Nashua Cemetery.

She was born May 17, 1937, in Belcourt, N.D., the daughter of Joseph and Delia (L'Esperance) Houle. She attended schools in Belcourt, graduating from Belcourt High School. She then attended and graduated from Minot State, earning her teaching degree. She taught in Portland before moving to Nashua, where she taught for over 30 years, teaching 3rd and 4th grades and 7th grade English.

She married Dale Dunning on April 3, 1969, in Nashua. She loved to garden and enjoyed walking and spending time with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading, writing and hunting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Dunning, in 2005; and a brother-in-law, Joseph Dunning, in 1986.

Survivors include two daughters, Bonnie Dunning and (Justin Wooley) of Nashua and Joyce Dunning and her husband, Stan, of Absarokee; two step-daughters, Diana Skolrud and (Rocky Zimdars) of Glasgow and Janet Peak of Great Falls; four grandchildren, Joseph Dunning, Dylan Dunning, Jaxson Wooley and Jeremiah Wooley, all of Nashua; and a sister, Bernice Robbins and her husband, Jim, of Belcourt, N.D.

Bell Mortuary of Glasgow is in charge of arrangements.
