Darla Dee Broken Leg-Crow

Our beloved Darla Dee Broken Leg-Crow, 50, made her journey into the spirit world, to be with her heavenly father, on Nov. 29, 2014.

A vigil service will be held Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. and funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 6, at 10 a.m., all at the James Black Dog Cultural Center in Fort Kipp, Mont. Interment will be in Fort Kipp Cemetery in Fort Kipp.

She was born on Sept. 25, 1964, in Poplar, Mont., to George and Velma (Longhair) Broken Leg. She lived most her life in Brockton and Ft. Kipp. She graduated from Brockton High School in 1984 and attended college at U.T.T.C in Bismarck, N.D., graduating in 1990.

She worked in many areas of different fields, as a CNA in Poplar, a cook for Ft. Kipp Headstart, Housekeeping in Mobridge, S.D., and with the Guest Service Department at the Grand River Casino in Mobridge.

She loved to meet friends, go to pow-wows, basketball and softball games and just be around family and friends. She loved to visit, tease, joke, laugh and listen to music. She had a personality that everyone loved to know and be around. She was always willing to help anyone out and always there when anyone needed someone to talk to. When she saw her friends she always greeted them with a smile and a hug. She was loved by so many friends, to many to mention, who adopted her into the family as a daughter, sister and auntie.

In 2010 she married Curtis Crow in Mobridge, and lived there until 2013 and moved back to Brockton. She loved her extended family. They welcomed her into their family and treated her with love, kindness and respect.

She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Velma (Long Hair) Broken Leg; one son, William G. Broken Leg; two brothers, Myree and Ivy Broken Leg; four grandparents, Moses and Bernice Broken Leg and Johnson and Ursula Long Hair; four uncles, Nathaniel Long Hair Sr., Mike Thomas Sr., Jr. Frank Loans Arrow, Robert Black Dog Sr.; two aunts, Linda Rattling Thunder, Martha Black Dog; a cousin, Wesley Long Hair; and an adopted sister, Millie First.

She is survived by her husband, Curtis Crow, of Brockton; a son, Dominique Buckles, of Fort Kipp; a sister, Debbie (Broken Leg) Uses Arrow; a brother-in-law, "My" Uses Arrow, both of Mobridge; and niece, Ellyn Plain Bull, of Fort Kipp; a brother, Eugene Longee, of Poplar; 10 aunts, Della Thomas, Lydia Long Hair, Ceya Long Hair, Ida Bear, Priscilla Carpentar, Sissy Chopper and Dani Green, all of Fort Kipp, Shannon Loans Arrow of Bismarck, Audrey Ghost Dog of Wolf Point and Arletta Black Dog of Brockton; five uncles, Lawrence Black Dog of Fort Kipp, Adrian Ireland and his wife, Pegg, of Williston, N.D., Sam Ireland and his wife, Victoria, of Cannon Ball, N.D., Charlie Green and Brian Black Dog of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a grandmother, Loretta Bear Cub of Fort Kipp; 27 cousins, Lynette Long, Alice Long Hair, Nate Long Hair, Jeff Stump, John Turning Heart, Les Long Hair, Valerie Youpee, Natalie Long Hair, Allison Keeler, Jage Keeler, Duane Black Dog, Billy Black Dog, Robert Black Dog Jr., Cynthia Black Dog, Robby, Willy, and Ladonna Black Dog, LaVonne Black Dog, Donovan Red Boy Jr., Darren Red Boy, Donelle Parker, Donessa Red Boy, Lanny, Terry, Frenchia, Bog, and Dude Rattling Thunder; many nieces, nephews, and grandchildren to numerous to mention; and a special granddaughter, "Princess" Mishone St. Germain; who she dearly loved.

I love you, "Sister," you are my world. The day our Heavenly Father took you, you became my "Angel." No more pain, no more sorrows. Dance and sing and be happy. Rest In Peace "Sister." We will all miss your laughter, sense of humor and your beautiful smile. Love you.
